summit post for Mt. Washington and one of the summit buildings (notice
chains to hold the building down). Mt. Washington had the highest ever documented wind speed of 231 miles per hour in April 1934. |

Our Buick Lacrosse rental car got a work-out on the Mt. Washington toll road. Not really much of an effort was required for this highpoint (although it can be hiked via the Appalachian Trail). |
